Remembrance Gardens Memorial Park
This park was built as a living memorial to the sacrifices made by our military and their families'. It will be a place of reflection and Remembrance for years to come. It will also be another way for London to show our Veterans the respect we have for their service and our dedication to Remember the Fallen
The Remember November 11 Association built this park for many reasons. We wanted a Symbol of Remembrance for the terrible losses Canada has suffered. We wanted to Honour our Veterans, and we wanted anyone that has been affected by this history to have a place to come reflect and Remember what they have sacrificed. We also wanted a place for future generations to look at and see a monument of devotion to all of our brave men and women who have served. “To pass the torch from falling hands”.
We have much more to do here, and we will be out here every year to keep building and maintaining this meager show of respect. Our hope is that our Veterans and the public will enjoy the park, enjoy the poppies that will be blooming, and think about the sacrifices made by so many while serving Canada.
The park was created in 2014 and over the last 10 years we have added 17 large stone monuments, 4 Lest We Forget benches, 36 trees dedicated to individual Veterans, and over 100 paving stones around our garden dedicated to individuals that served Canada
We Will Remember.
