The Animals Of War Monument Project

This Monument will be constructed Remembrance Gardens Memorial Park located at 2315 River Road in London Ontario. The monument will feature 15 different panels showing how animals were used in the wars. This will be mounted in a steel frame in connection with a large Monument Stone in tribute to all of the animals that served and died in the wars. They had no choice.

Why this Monument?

The Animals Of War Monument project will help to illustrate what these animals were doing during the war and try to put their service into context. None of these animals chose to be in a war and this tremendous sacrifice needs to be memorialized for future Generations.

The service of animals made wars easier but it came at a tremendous price. Millions of animals died during both world wars. This Monument will highlight their part in the wars while remembering the devastating loss. These animals had no choice.

This park and this Monument do not receive any government funding and we rely on our community and sponsors to create monuments like this that's a way to remember the sacrifice and to teach our children. We will remember the animals that suffered during the war.
